Nearly 200 participants attended the online webinar “Sportello Transizione Energetica Piemonte” on October 29, 2025, highlighting the growing interest among local authorities and professionals in renewable energy communities and public building efficiency.
The event showcased Piedmont’s integrated approach to energy transition through two main pillars: the RENOSS project, promoted by the Ministry of Environmnet, supporting Renewable Energy Communities (CER) and the GASLESS initiative for public building renovation.
Environment Park presented the RENOSS network, which evolved from the successful RECROSSES cross-border project. RENOSS offers 15 distinct services covering the entire community lifecycle, from feasibility studies to ongoing management, all accessible free of charge through local One Stop Shops.
The CER Roero, presented by Daniele Demaria, exemplifies successful implementation. Founded by 20 municipalities, it currently operates 10 configurations totaling 7.5 MW capacity, projected to generate 436,000 euros annually in territorial incentives. Notably, even members without installations benefit from shared energy incentives.
Piemonte Region introduced the GASLESS project, which uses Energy Performance Contracts to renovate public buildings without municipal debt. The first tender, already awarded, involves 20 buildings with 9 million euros in investments guaranteeing over 60% energy savings. The ESCO assumes all financial risk, being paid through verified energy savings.
Envipark emphasized also that rigorous Measurement and Verification protocols, showing results from multiple sites achieving 15-64% thermal energy savings consistently over seven years, ensuring contractual accountability and performance transparency.
Piedmont’s comprehensive framework demonstrates that effective energy transition requires coordinated financial incentives, professional technical support, and proven implementation methodologies accessible to all municipalities.
